News in Brief: Back to school night at La Serna

On August 27, La Serna High School hosted its annual back-to-school night from 6 to 8 p.m. Parents were invited to meet and interact with their child’s teachers. Many clubs, like Expanded Horizons, sold food and beverages. Old yearbooks were also sold for $20.

“We’re really excited about back-to-school night because it’s a really awesome opportunity for [parents] to meet the teachers, and have an opportunity to see what kinds of things students are going to be learning in their classes this year,” said assistant principal Kristin Kooiman.

La Serna’s faculty was happy to meet the parents of the new class of 2019, as well as interact with the parents of returning students.
