New Coding Club Starts on Campus

Junior Christian Lopez has started a new coding club on campus. The COD1NG/T3CH club will meet in room in K102 during the second half of lunch. Club members will learn basic coding, hear experiences from people in the field of coding, and program games and play against club members. Code.Org and Lightbot are two sites that members will look at while learning about various jobs and tasks one can complete using coding.

Lopez said, “Coding is something anyone slightly interested in technology should learn. ” He said all students are invited to be part of the club.

Idania Martinez will serve as vice-president, and teacher Kim Fitzgerald will act as club adviser.
